My protocol

  1. I eat very low carb (keto diet) – no starches or sweets – no sugar or artificial sweeteners except little Stevia, monk fruit & allulose.
  2. 3 Pancreas Natural Glandular (Pork) by Nutricology capsules on empty stomach first thing in morning
  3. 6 g Dr’s Best Curcumin High Absorption with Bioperine every day – 3g at lunch and 3g with dinner
  4. Omega 3 absorbs best from fish oil so I am taking 1 tsp Carlson Wild Norwegian Cod liver oil with Vit A (850 IU – 28% RDA) & D3 (400 IU- 50% RDA), Vit E (6.7mg 45% RDA) and 1100mg Omega 3’s.
  5. Algaecal I have 1 with 400 IU Vit D, 180mg Calcium & 85 mg Magnesium)
  6. Berberine 500 mg 2 x per day
  7. Reishi 1 per day (Natures was 378 mg)
  8. EGCG – Green tea extract – this has caffeine so I just take 100-200 mg per day
  9. Grape seed extract
  10. Magnesium Citrate 200 mg
  11. 1/4 tsp potassium bicarbonate in 1 liter water
  12. Probiotic

Eckberg says these are the foods you should avoid

1.Too much alcohol because it is a neurotoxin and hurts gut biome. A moderate amount of alcohol is OK

2. Artificial Sweeteners – Aspartame is worst (NutraSweet), Sucralose (Splenda) Saccharine. – I take little packets of Stevia by Sweetleaf in my purse to use in tea & coffee.

3. Avoid Refined carbohydrates & sugars – keto diet avoids these.

4. Margarine – this is a trans fat – hydrogenated fat. – eat real butter!! preferably from grass fed cows.

5. MSG Monosodium glutamate -flavor enhancer- this is in canned soups, salad dressings & flavorings- make your own soups & salad dressings.

7. Seed Oils – corn, canola, soybean oil etc. They are chemically created and are high in Omega 6. I pan fry in coconut oil with olive oil & bacon grease

8. Food additives & preservatives.

9. The following vegetables should be organic because they often have pesticides:

bell peppers, carrots, celery, green beans, leafy greens like spinach & kale, tomatoes
