Ketogenic Recipes that I have made and like.

Oct 27 (Mon)

Bible:

  • Matthew – 21:1-22
  • Mark 11:1-25
  • Luke 19:1-10, 19:28-48
  • John  12:12-19

Exercises: – 2nd week on higher weights and I was sore over weekend

  • 15 sit ups
  • 10 deadlifts
  • 10 squats
  • 10 bench press

Meals:

  • breakfast – 2 eggs cooked in coconut oil, cheese, sausage
  • coffee, cream coconut oil, s/f syrup
  • lunch – left over steak & artichoke with butter
  • dinner- Stuffed Bell Peppers, salad w dressing
  • snacks- whole milk yogurt, artichoke hearts, celery.

Oct 26 (Sun)

Bible:

  • Matthew 20:17-34
  • Mark 10:32-52
  • Luke 18:31-43
  • John 11:17-57

Meals:

  • 2eggs, 2 link sausage, salsa & sour cream
  • coffee, cream, coconut oil, s/f syrup
  • lunch- 2 burrito supreme from Taco Bell (don’t eat the flour tortilla, just beans, meat & vegetables
  • dinner – rib eye steak on grill, 1/2 artichoke dipped in butter, salad
  • pistachio nuts, zesty dill pickles

 

Oct 25 (Sat)

Bible:

  • Matthew 19:23-30, 20:1-16
  • Mark 10:23-31
  • Luke 18:24-30
  • John 10:22-11:16

Meals:

  • Large Quiche
  • coffee, cream, coconut milk, s/f syrup
  • lunch – 1 burrito supreme – just insides
  • dinner – Nut encrusted Walleye, salsa, cream cheese, salad w dressing
  • Macadamia nuts

Oct 24 (Fri)

Bible:

  • Matthew 19:3-122
  • Mark 10:2-22
  • Luke 18:15-23
  • John 9:35-10:21

Exercise:

  • 20 situps
  • 10 deadlifts (2nd time for all the barbell exercises at 5# higher)
  • 10 squats
  • 10 bench press

Meals

  • breakfast – left over meat loaf & 2 eggs
  • coffee, cream, coconut oil, s/f syrup

 

Oct 23 (Thurs)

Bible:

  • John 7:53-9:34

Meals:

  • left over pot roast & summer squash
  • coffee, cream, coconut oil, s/f syrup
  • lunch- Philly sand (toss bun) & side salad w Ranch
  • dinner- meat loaf, spaghetti squash with butter, salad
  • dessert – zero cal club soda, cream, lemon extract, s/f syrup

Oct 22 (Weds)

Bible:

  • Luke 17:20-18:14,
  • John 7:1-52

Exercise – I took off my other weights and put 10# on each end of barbell (just bought 10# weights at Walmart).  I was surprised how much heavier it seemed

  • 20 sit ups
  • 10 deadlifts
  • 10 squats
  • 10 bench presses

Meals:

  • breakfast- 2 eggs, cream cheese, coconut oil, olives
  • coffee, coconut oil, cream, s/f syrup
  • lunch – at Arbys I ordered “meal deal” of Reuben, side salad, diet Mtn Dew.  I tossed the bread on Reuben and just ate insides
  • dinner – made Pot Roast, cooked 1 onion & 2 summer squash 20 min, then added 1 c sour cream, salad & dressing
  • snack – mixed nuts

Oct 21 (Tues)

Bible:

  • Luke 14:25-17:19Prodigal Son Luke 15:11The biggest part of this story to me is the father’s willingness to forgive. The father in this story is an example of God’s fatherly love toward people who have been bad but want to return to Him

Meals:

  • scrambled eggs with ham & cheese in coconut oil
  • coffee, cream, coconut oil, s/f syrup
  • lunch- left over chicken wings, broccoli casserole
  • dinner- salmon, shredded & sautéed cabbage, salad with feta & olives
  • macademia nuts

Oct 20 (Mon)

Bible:

  • Luke 12:22-14:24  Jesus gives 4 ways to fight anxiety:
  1. Realize that life itself is more important than things
  2. Remember that God cares for us and even for birds & flowers
  3. Realize that worry accomplishes nothing
  4. focus on spiritual.  When I felt death was close, peace came when I thought of heaven and knew that this world is not all there is.

Exercises:  I bought 2 10# weights but did not yet put them on this morning.

  • 20 sit ups
  • 14 dead lifts
  • 10 squats
  • 14 bench presses

Meals:

  • 2 eggs cooked in coconut & 2 link sausages
  • coffee, cream, coconut oil, s/f syrup
  • lunch – left over steak, 1/2 artichoke dipped in butter, cauliflower au gratin
  • snack – pecans & smoke house almonds
  • dinner – Buffalo Wings, Broccoli casserole, cucumber salad

Meals:

  • breakfast – little left over blackened walleye, 1 link sausage, 2 eggs in coconut oil
  • coffee, cream, coconut oil, s/f syrup
  • lunch- Taco Bell – 2 burrito Supremes, eat inside with spoon – not the tortilla.
  • dinner- artichokes dipped in butter, left over cauliflower au gratin, steaks BBQ on grill

Oct 18 (Sat)

I am back- we  had wonderful time and I ate according to Dr Bernsteins plan.  We were camping during day but usually ate at a restaurant for dinner. (ribs & salad & veggies, or steak & salad & veggies,  salmon, beans & salad). -For breakfast/lunch snacks I took hardboiled eggs, tuna & egg salad, sliced ham which I rolled up with a small pickle and cream cheese inside and butter lettuce on outside, marinated artichoke hearts, baby corn, nuts.  Guacamole on this slices of cheese with a little of “easy cheese” (squeeze cheese).  Had carrots, celery with peanut butter,     I made fantastic Zucchini Cake and ate a small piece every day.  Made my own Frappuccino’s for the morning coffee by taking a water bottle and adding 1 packet of starbucks instant coffee & 1 packet stevia.

Exercise: nothing formal planned, but I am going to buy a couple of 10# weights for my bar bells this afternoon.
