Ketogenic Recipes that I have made and like.

Oct 12 (Sun)

“Read through the Year Chronological Bible” readings at the bottom of this post if anyone is reading on the same schedule.  I will not be able to post this week

Bible:

Meals:

  • 2 eggs cooked in coconut oil, 2 frozen Jimmy Dean Sausage patties microwaved
  • coffee, cream, coconut oil, s/f syrup
  • lunch -rest of my naked Burrito from Qudoba and a grilled chicken Caesar salad from Wendys.
  • dinner – Parmesan Chicken Wings, big salad
  • dessert – Zucchini Cake

Ketones:  .7  (after zucchini cake!)

  • Mark 8:11-9:1 ( 8:22-25 tells of healing of blind man in 2 steps. @ different touches to make him see clearly.  I love my study notes in my New Geneva Study Bible.  It says that sometimes Jesus gradually heals our spiritual sight.  I feel cancer was a second touch of Jesus on my spiritual eyes.  When I read the Bible, I see it more clearly now than I did before cancer.

Oct 11 (Sat)

Bible:

Exercise:  chase grandchildren and pick them up

Meals:

  • eggs, cooked in coconut oil with ham, brie cheese, kale
  • coffee, coconut oil
  • left over chicken wings, celery, carrots & blue cheese dip
  • dinner – from Qudoba – naked burrito with lots of fajita vegetables, grilled chicken, hot sauce, some greens, guacamole, sour cream & cheese

Oct 10 (Fri)

Bible:

  • Matthew 8:28-34,13:24-52
  • Mark  4:30-41, 5:1-20
  • Luke  8:22-25

Exercise: (I plan to buy a slightly bigger weight this weekend)

  • 10 sit-ups
  • 10 deadlifts
  • 10 squats (knee is fine so I can go all the way down again)
  • 10 bench presses

Meals

  • breakfast -2 eggs, pepperoni, cheese cooked in coconut oil
  • coffee, cream, coconut oil, Da Vinci s/f syrup
  • lunch – Arbys turkey sand without the bun, side salad
  • dinner- wings, celery & carrot sticks in blue cheese dressing (restaurant)

Oct 9 (Thurs)

Bible:

  • Matthew  12:46-50, 13:1-23,
  • Mark 3:31-35, 4:1-29
  • Luke 8:4-21

Exercise: – nothing formal

Meals:

  • breakfast – left over fajita meat & veggies
  • coffee, coconut milk, cream, s/f syrup
  • lunch – tenderloin salad
  • snacks – pine nuts, pecans, mixed nuts
  • dinner – Parmesan Walleye, Fried Jicama Chips, if you have not made these, they are better than home made potato chips – a tiny bit sweet with light salt.  Reminds me of Kettle Corn.
  • salad.

Oct 8 (Weds)

Bible:

  • Luke 7:18-8:3, 11:14-26
  • Matt 11:1-19, 12: 22-45
  • Mark 3:20-30

Exercise:

  • 10 sit ups
  • 10 deadlifts
  • 10 squats (not all the way down because knee is almost perfect, but not quite
  • 10 bench presses

Meals

  • Hardees – low carb breakfast bowl
  • coffee, coconut oil, cream, Da Vinci s/f syrup
  • lunch – left over Mexican casserole
  • dinner- Fajitas, artichoke hearts.

Oct 7 (Tues)

Bible:

  • Luke 6:17-7:17
  • Matt 8:5-13
  • John 4:46-54

Exercise:  no formal exercise

Meals:

  • breakfast – 2 eggs cooked in coconut oil & 2 pieces Canadian bacon browned in coconut oil
  • coffee, cream, coconut oil, Da Vinci s/f syrup
  • Lunch- left over shish ka bobs
  • Dinner – Pot Roast with vegetables, celery & peanut butter, avocado, cucumber salad
  • snack – Macadamia nuts & raw pecans.

Oct 6 (Mon)

Bible Matthew 5:21-7:29 (sermon on mount)

Exercise:

  • 10 sit ups
  • 10 deadlifts
  • 5 squats – not very deep because I fell and hurt knee Saturday night.
  • 10 bench presses

  • Kappa Free Light Chains –  16.21 mg/L (Normal! 3.3-19.4 mg/L)
  • Lambda Free light chains – 15.58 mg/L  (Normal 5,71-26.30 mg/L)
  • ratio                                                  1.04                (Normal .26-1.65)
  • White blood count                   3.82                (4-11 is normal)

  • breakfast – 2 bacon
  • coffee, coconut oil, cream s/f syrup
  • lunch – left over Mexican casserole & artichoke dipped in butter
  • snacks – macademia nuts
  • dinner – Shish Ka Bobs, cucumber salad.

Oct 5 (Sun)

  • Luke 6:6-16

Exercise: I slipped on bottom step last night and fell and tweaked my left knee.

Meals:

  • breakfast – 2 sausage patties, 1 egg
  • coffee, coconut oil, cream, s/f syrup
  • lunch- 2 drumsticks & green beans from KFC
  • snacks- mixed nuts, 1 chocolate coconut candy,
  • Mexican casserole.

Ketones – 1.4

Oct 4 (Sat)

Bible:

  • Matthew 9:1-8, 2:13-28, 9:9-17, 12:1-8
  • Mark 2:1-12
  • Luke 5:17-39,  6:1-5

Exercise: clean house and work on yard

Meals:

  • 4 bacon & 2 eggs
  • coffee, coconut oil, cream, s/f syrup
  • lunch – few nuts, artichokes, left over brisket, pickles
  • dinner – bone soup – cook bones, pull meat off, cook up hamburger to go in, sauté onions & garlic – add
  • dessert – low carb ice cream

Ketones   2. (surprised.  I didn’t eat much and had 11K steps)

Oct 3 (Fri)

Bible:

  • John 4:27-46
  • Mark 1:14,15, 1:21-45
  • Matt 4:12-17
  • Luke 4:14-44,  5:12-16
  • Matt 8:1-4

Exercise;

6 situps

Meals:

  • breakfast – almond milk, 1 scoop protein, s/f syrup, ice
  • 1 rib left over from last night
  • coffee, cream, coconut oil, s/f syrup
  • lunch- left over ribs, mock potato salad (from cauliflower),
  • dinner- taco salad
  • dessert-  Low Carb Ice Cream
